Except molten alkali metal, PTFE sheet is resistant to corrosion of almost all chemical reagents. Boiled in concentrated sulphuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, and even aqua regia, for example, its weight and properties vary little, and it is insoluble in almost all solvents.
