We Believe Mental Health Matters!

Angel Acosta

Clinical Intern

I completed my undergraduate from University of Houston Clear Lake. My Master of Education in Clinical Mental health counseling is also from UHCL. The lens through which I approach counseling is multifaceted, I use Mindfulness based CBT with Solution Focused with a Person-Centered foundation. We all experience hardship, but with a set of tools, we can walk through any difficult time with a peace that surpasses all understanding. My faith has helped me discover this is possible for anyone.

I have extensive experience working with women experiencing struggles related to addiction. I also have seven years of experience working with families in high conflict litigation. My experience has helped me inform my practice to understand the legal challenges families face with reunification and reconciliation. Divorce and separation can be a stressful time, especially when children are involved, but you are not alone, even if it feels that way. I hope to help those going through the darkness to find peace.

In my free time, I am active in my children’s lives. We travel, play sports, and hike together. I also enjoy gardening, painting, and working with other forms of media to create art.
